My husband and I were debating what to do this evening.  I said, “I just want to do something really low stress.”

My son(4) came over to me and said, “Mommy, I want to whisper something in your ear.”

Me, “Ok”.

Son, whispers, “Don’t stress the little stuff Mommy.”

So wise!

Mommy: I think I will be a clown for halloween.

Son(4):  Then you can make up your own clown song Mommy. It will go, “I am a clown, I have a big red nose, but it isn’t really a nose, it is a big bleeding thing.  I was driving in my race car, really really fast, when bees flew…all over my bleedy nose.  I landed in a ditch then and I tractor came to me…and helped my bleedy bee nose.”

(Said in a singing tone.)

Spare Kitty

We recently had to put one of our two cats down (he was 15 years old).

Mom: “Are you sad about Willy? Do you miss him?”

Son(4): “No….but…are you sad?”

Mom: “Yeah, I miss him.”

Son: “Don’t worry Mommy, we have still have another one.  But she doesn’t really like people much.”

Son(4): “Mommy, because you want to be a clown for halloween I wrote you a song.

-Hi, I am a clown with a big red nose.  But, it isn’t really a nose, it is a bleeding thing.  I went driving in my bleeding nose one day in my race car. I got bees stuck all over it and ran into a ditch.  Then I saw a tractor and lost my nose on the farm.-
